About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Mill Production Operator to join our team in a busy feed mill environment. This is a hands-on role involving the operation of bagging equipment, providing relief cover in the panel room, and supporting the day-to-day production activities of the mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor bagging machinery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality standards are maintained
- Carry out product bagging, stacking, and labelling in line with company specifications
- Provide relief cover in the panel room, assisting with mill controls and monitoring production processes
- Support intake of raw materials and general mill operations
- Ensure adherence to all health & safety and quality procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Assist with routine checks, maintenance support, and troubleshooting as required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, agri-business, or feed mill environment is desirable
- Experience operating machinery is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks
- Flexibility to work shifts, when required
