We are recruiting for a Carpenter/Maintenance Operative to join our team at The Kingsley.
This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and well-presented operation of all internal and external areas across the property. The Carpenter/Maintenance Operative will work closely with the Engineering team to support a high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel, including doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, fittings, and general woodwork
- Support with general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and repair work
- Assist with the hotel's preventative maintenance programme
- Respond to maintenance requests in guest bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
- Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order
- Monitor the appearance and upkeep of the hotel, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with emergency maintenance issues relating to fire, water, electricity, and other essential services
- Submit requests to reorder supplies and spare parts as required
- Report any building, equipment, or maintenance concerns to the Engineering Manager
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous carpentry experience
- General maintenance experience or a good practical skill set
- A hands-on, flexible approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in their work
- Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Safe Pass would be an advantage
