Tired of life on the road? This is a refrigeration role with a difference: one site, one team and fixed hours. Put your skills to work on modern, specialized refrigeration plant in a workplace you’ll actually look forward to arriving at each morning.
Why This Role Is Different
- Off the road for good. You’re based permanently at one site.
- Fixed, predictable hours. Monday to Friday days (e.g. 7:00–15:30). Limited on-call Rota to your site. Your evenings and weekends are primarily yours.
- Company vehicle provided.
- Modern, specialized plant. Work hands-on with up-to-date, specialized refrigeration systems.
- Modern workplace. A good working environment with onsite canteen facilities and a supportive team around you.
About the Role
You’ll join our on-site refrigeration team as a refrigeration engineer, taking ownership of the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the refrigeration plants. Because you’re on one site full-time, you’ll get to know the systems inside out — carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance rather than firefighting breakdowns.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on modern, specialized refrigeration plant and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on-site.
- Monitor plant performance, temperatures, and efficiency, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with F-Gas and safety regulations.
- Work alongside the wider site engineering team on projects, upgrades, and installations.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- A recognized refrigeration qualification and current F-Gas certification.
- Hands-on experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a safety-first approach.
- Strong Communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with specialized or industrial plant (e.g. CO₂, glycol, or ammonia systems).
- Electrical fault-finding experience or additional trade qualifications.
What You’ll Get
- Full-time, permanent position with fixed Monday–Friday hours.
- Company van.
- Excellent on-site canteen facilities.
- Training
- A modern, well-equipped working environment.
- The stability of one site — and the end of unpredictable callout hours.
