About Us My Goodness is a fast-growing vegan, zero-waste, and probiotic food business based in Cork. We operate our main food production facility in the Marina Commercial Park supplying our Quay Co-op Café, English Market stall, Farmers Markets and stockists. We make everything from scratch using local ingredients and traditional fermentation techniques.
While our ethos around sustainability, zero-waste, and ethical food is central to everything we do, running a busy production kitchen and café service is very hands-on, practical work. We love our values, but keeping the business ticking day-to-day requires consistency, focus, and a solid work ethic. We are looking for someone who can align with our principles while also bringing a reliable, practical mindset to the kitchen.
The Role & Expectations This is a full-time position split between our Marina Commercial Park production kitchen (batch prep, fermented foods, cake & food production) and our Quay Co-op café kitchen (line service, food prep, and kitchen setup).
We need someone with foundational kitchen experience who knows their way around a board and prep station (basic knife skills, kitchen safety, and service pace), allowing us to focus on training you in our unique recipes, fermentation processes, and zero-waste systems. Please include your current HACCP certifications if applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items, batch prep, and recipes accurately and efficiently in a clean environment.
- Work smoothly across both batch production at the Marina and live service shifts at the café.
- Safely operate standard commercial kitchen equipment.
- Maintain an organised, hygienic workstation in line with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Restock production lines and service stations as needed throughout shifts.
- Assist with routine cleaning, equipment maintenance, and shift end shut-downs.
- Bring a dependable, positive, and collaborative attitude to every shift.
Requirements The successful candidate will have:
- Prior Kitchen Experience: Basic professional kitchen experience (knife skills, prep efficiency, and clean working habits down so we can teach you our specific products).
- Solid Work Ethic: Reliable, proactive, and comfortable with the fast-paced reality of kitchen work.
- Full-Time Availability: Available for a full 39-hour working week across weekday, weekend, morning, and evening shifts.
