Excellent opportunity to join an established Construction and Engineering company as a Metal Fabricator in a modern and busy workshop.
Ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and also within a team environment. Own transport is essential due to our rural location.
- Experience required in the use of specialised hand and power tools, metal fabrication processes: measuring, marking out, cutting, folding and welding steel.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools (e.g., grinders, drills, hand cutting torches) to shape, cut, and assemble metal components.
- Measure and inspect parts and assemblies to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Assemble fabricated metal parts into completed products using welding, bolting or other fastening methods.
- Ensure proper material handling, storage, and inventory management of raw materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Identify any fabrication issues or potential improvements and work with management to address them.
