Joel’s Restaurant is seeking an experienced and driven Restaurant General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our flagship restaurant. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for service excellence, team performance and ensuring a warm and personable welcome to each and every customer.
We are looking for a hands-on operator who leads from the floor, builds strong teams, and delivers consistently exceptional guest experiences.
About The Role
As Restaurant General Manager, you will have full accountability for the performance of Joel’s Restaurant, ensuring high standards across service, food quality, team engagement, and profitability. You will work closely with the Head Chef and senior management to drive commercial success while maintaining a strong people-first culture.

Lead the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service across all trading periods

Maintain exceptional service standards and guest experience at all times

Ensure all SOPs are implemented, trained, and consistently followed

Act as the senior decision-maker on shift, leading service recovery and guest resolution

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing restaurant team

Lead by example with strong floor presence and professional standards

Manage performance, conduct regular feedback, and complete performance reviews

Create a positive, accountable, and engaging team culture

Manage labour costs in line with agreed budgets and staffing guides

Control food, beverage, and operational costs while maximising revenue

Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food safety, fire safety, and licensing laws

Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager

Strong background in high-volume or quality-led food & beverage operations

Commercially astute with strong cost control and KPI management skills

Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management ability

Hands-on, guest-focused, and calm under pressure

Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, licensing, and food safety standards
