We are seeking a fun, dedicated, kind, caring and experienced staff member to join our team. The right person will have the joy, happiness, safety, care and holistic development of the children as their main priority, creating a home away from home environment.
This is a full time, permanent position subject to six months probationary period.
Start date: subject to garda vetting and reference checks
Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday.
Job Description
These roles include:
- Assist in the holistic care and education of the children attending the service.
- Working with children of varying ages
- Carrying out observations on assigned key children.
- Complete curriculum documentation as required.
- Planning of child led, play orientated, emergent interest curriculum.
- Following policies and procedures of the service at all times.
- Ensure a good standard of hygiene and awareness of health and safety.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and equally as part of a team.
- Be capable of providing quality interactions with the children with a genuine nature.
- Warm and friendly manner
- Experience/Confidence in using the Aistear and Siolta guidelines.
- First aid training
- Child Protection Training
- Manual Handling
- Previous experience desirable, full onsite induction training will be provided
The successful applicant will be required to supply two written references - one from their most recent employer. This position is subject to mandatory garda vetting and relevant police authority criminal record checks, if you have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 consecutive months.
