Established in 1997, Superdrain Limited we are one of Leinster’s leading drainage and environmental contractors. We currently have a permanent technical position available for a Pump Technician to join our large, multidisciplinary team.
Entry-level applicants may be considered based on their previous experience, technical aptitude, and willingness to learn. Previous mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or industrial maintenance experience would be a distinct advantage for consideration of a more advanced role.

The Role
The successful candidate will assist with the installation, repair, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of pumping equipment and associated assets.
The work will primarily be carried out across our growing portfolio of major blue-chip clients, SMEs, and leading facilities management companies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with new pump and pumping-system installations
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to existing equipment and assets
- Assisting with equipment testing and commissioning
- Performing preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections
- Completing work in accordance with maintenance schedules, manufacturers’ specifications, and company procedures
- Maintaining accurate service, inspection, and maintenance records
- Working safely and professionally within drainage, wastewater, industrial, and commercial environments
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and site representatives
- Supporting the wider technical team as required
Experience in maintenance, plumbing, mechanical systems, pumps, or industrial control panels would be a distinct advantage.
Place of Employment
The role will be based primarily in Dublin. However, the successful candidate must be available to work in other areas of Ireland when required.
Working Hours and On-Call Requirements
The standard working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the company’s on-call roster. Due to the emergency nature of our work, it is a condition of employment that reasonable overtime, early starts, and out-of-hours work are undertaken when required.
Training and Development
The successful candidate must be willing and able to undertake a QQI Level 6 qualification in Industrial Electrical Systems within the first 12 months of employment.
The cost of this qualification will be paid in full by the company.
Additional job-specific training and certification will be provided where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A full, clean Category B driving licence, which is mandatory
- Previous mechanical, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, or technical experience, preferably within an industrial or commercial environment
- A relevant mechanical or technical qualification, which would be a distinct advantage
- A valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling certificate, and Confined Space certificate, although training may be provided for the right candidate
- The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge, practical ability, and a willingness to develop new skills
- A strong aptitude for fault-finding and problem-solving
- Good computer literacy
- Good organisational, communication, and reporting skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, positive attitude
A Category C driving licence with a valid Driver CPC would be a distinct advantage.
