As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and technically minded Pre-Construction & Technical Coordinator to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect, Architectural Technologist or Interior Architect who enjoys solving technical challenges and seeing projects progress from concept through to manufacture and installation.
The Role
Working closely with our Commercial and Production teams, you will play a key role in preparing projects for manufacture, ensuring designs are technically sound, commercially considered and fully coordinated before entering production.
You will act as the link between architects, clients, suppliers, CAD, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Coordination
- Review architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Identify technical risks, buildability issues and design clashes
- Coordinate technical submissions and approvals
- Liaise with architects, designers, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery
- Assist in developing practical and cost-effective technical solutions
Pre-Construction
- Carry out site surveys and site measurements
- Attend project meetings and technical coordination meetings
- Review site conditions and identify installation constraints
- Assist with project mobilisation and handover to production
CAD & Design Support
- Work alongside the CAD team to develop production-ready drawings
- Review shop drawings prior to issue
- Coordinate drawing revisions and approvals
- Ensure manufacturing information is complete and accurate
Procurement & Materials
- Support procurement planning and supplier engagement
- Review material specifications and lead times
- Assist with sourcing specialist products and bespoke components
- Coordinate technical information with suppliers where required
Production & Installation Support
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams
- Resolve production queries during manufacture
- Carry out site inspections during installation
- Assist in ensuring finished works meet company quality standards
Project Coordination
- Maintain accurate project information and documentation
- Track technical approvals and outstanding actions
- Support communication across commercial, design, production and installation teams
- Participate in weekly project review meetings
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
- Passionate about technical detailing and problem solving
- Interested in bespoke joinery, interiors and commercial fit-out
- Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural drawings
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Full clean driving licence.
