Role Description The Senior Spare Parts Person will manage and coordinate the daily operations of the parts department, supporting workshop, sales, and retail customers with accurate and timely supply of parts. This full-time, on-site role is based in the Cork Metropolitan Area and involves sourcing, ordering, receiving, and issuing parts, as well as monitoring stock levels and maintaining inventory records. The role includes handling customer and internal enquiries, identifying correct parts using catalogues and systems, preparing quotations, and processing invoices. The Senior Spare Parts Person will also help optimize parts storage, assist with stocktakes, liaise with suppliers and manufacturers, and contribute to continuous improvement in parts service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on building positive relationships and delivering reliable support to internal and external customers.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Management and Inventory Control, including stock monitoring, ordering, and accurate record-keeping for a busy parts department.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Previous experience in automotive parts, dealership operations, or a similar technical parts environment is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with parts catalogues, dealer management systems, and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to handle and move parts safely may be required.
