Working in a dynamic industrial which is continually improving with the latest technology, you will join an established maintenance team you will be responsible for liaising closely with shift management to ensure that a consistent maintenance service is provided, to allow the plant to produce quality linen with minimum down time as efficiently as possible.
Specifically:
· Strong diagnostic skills and confident to work on your own with all systems and equipment within the factory
· Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance skills a minimum of 3 years in an industrial processes environment
· Contribution to the efficiency of the operation by identifying preventative maintenance tasks to avoid costly breakdowns for the equipment.
· Installation of any new equipment when upgrading
· Compliance with quality, safety & environmental management systems and procedures.
The person
Essential Criteria:
· Electrical qualification (City & Guilds level 3 and above or NVQ Qualified equivalent).
· Time-served, maintenance electrical engineer apprentice.
· A good mix of electrical and general mechanical experience
· Working knowledge and experience of processing plant from boilerhouse to PLC and remote I/O
· Ability to diagnose electrical faults and work under pressure
· Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
· Flexibility in working hours.
· IT Literacy – must be familiar with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
