In this rewarding role, you'll be supporting individuals, on a part time basis on a Monday to Friday schedule, in our local New Directions hubs to live full and active lives within their communities. No two days are the same - from creative activities and outings to developing independent living skills and advocating for individuals, you'll be helping each person reach their full potential.

Essential Requirements:

Applicants must possess a CORU-approved qualification at NFQ Level 7 or above in Social Care / Applied Social Studies and/or be currently registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker.

A qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award.

An enthusiastic, motivated professional who displays a person-centred approach and a sustained commitment to supporting the individual and promoting community inclusion.

Possess a proven ability to work on one's own initiative.

Minimum 1 year experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.

Possess a good knowledge of HIQA regulations.

Strong commitment to increasing opportunities for people to become valued contributing members of their local community and to live their best life.

Eligible to work in Ireland.

Full Clean driving licence essential
Please note: All job offers are subject to two successful references, ongoing Garda Vetting, relevant qualifications, a satisfactory pre-employment medical and completion of mandatory training both online and onsite. Salary is in accordance with HSE Social care worker consolidated pay scales, depending on qualifications and experience.
