The role involves providing administrative support to school management, staff, students, and parents, while maintaining a welcoming and professional front office environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and efficient manner.
- Greet and assist visitors, parents, and students, ensuring the reception area reflects the school’s ethos.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Principal and school staff.
- Maintain and update school databases, records, and filing systems.
- Assist with preparation and distribution of school communications (letters, newsletters, notices).
- Support the organisation of school events, meetings, and appointments.
- Handle deliveries, post, and other logistical office tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection and child safeguarding requirements at all times
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong administrative and information technology skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT systems.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work on own initiative.
- Professional, courteous, and confidential manner.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a school or educational environment.
- Familiarity with school management systems (e.g., Compass, VSware, Aladdin).
