About the Role:
lennon solar is seeking a detail-oriented Solar Property Assessor to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the successful planning and installation of solar PV systems. You will be responsible for assessing residential and/or commercial properties, determining system feasibility, and confirming all technical aspects of the installation prior to scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site property assessments for solar PV installations
- Evaluate roof structure, orientation, shading, and available space for panel placement
- Identify optimal locations for inverters, batteries, and associated equipment
- Take accurate measurements and capture relevant photos during each assessment
- Record all findings, notes, and site details accurately within the company CRM system
- Assess electrical infrastructure and identify any upgrades required
- Discuss installation plans clearly with customers and answer technical queries
- Identify and document any site-specific challenges or constraints
- Produce detailed survey reports to support design and installation teams
- Ensure all assessments meet safety, regulatory, and company standards
Requirements:
- Experience in surveying, construction, electrical, or solar installations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of building structures and basic electrical systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to customers
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience in solar PV or renewable energy
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations and electrical standards
- Familiarity with survey tools, CAD, or solar design software
