Stewart Construction, one of Ireland’s leading main contractors with over 120 years of experience, is currently seeking an experienced ME Coordinator to join our growing team.

This role offers the opportunity to work within an established site team on large-scale construction projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture on site, ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and in line with company and statutory requirements.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure works are carried out in the correct sequence and to programme.
Review ME drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and buildability.
Assist in developing and maintaining ME installation schedules.
Ensure ME works comply with Irish regulations, building control requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
Participate in design reviews, identifying potential issues or clashes at an early stage.
Liaise with design consultants to resolve technical queries and discrepancies.
Monitor the quality of ME installations throughout the construction phase.
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
Review method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning documentation.
Act as the main point of contact between site operations, ME subcontractors, and the design team.
Attend site coordination meetings and circulate minutes or updates as required.
Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in managing ME-related queries and instructions.
Assist in preparing commissioning plans, ensuring all systems are tested, balanced, and demonstrated.
Review and compile OM manuals and handover documentation.
Ensure all required certifications are completed and submitted."

Ensure compliance with Health Safety regulations and company policies
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Building Services or Construction Management Engineering.
Additional training or certification in health safety or building services is advantageous.
5+ years’ experience working in an ME coordination or building services role on Irish construction sites.
Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR, and industry best practices.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, and related building services systems.
Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, Procore, or other project management software is an advantage.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
