Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to join our progressive team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Carry out regular preventative maintenance checks
· Installation, service and maintenance of production equipment
· Ensure that all mechanical equipment in the factory is in good working order and safe for use
· Liaise with the Maintenance Manager on any issues that arise or any Health & Safety concerns
· Carry out breakdown repairs on machines
· Schedule down time with the Maintenance Manager and Production Personnel for maintenance checks/repairs
· Collection of materials and parts from various local suppliers
· Ad hoc requests as requested by your Line Manager
Skills & Experience Required:
· Successful applicants will be registered with SOLAS and begin a 7-phase apprenticeship
· Junior Certificate must be completed
· Leaving Certificate is a bonus
· No experience required (training provided)
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Ability to read manufacturing drawings is a bonus
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Past engineering experience is a bonus
