The role
Site Manager - Cork
The Site Manager is accountable for the overall performance, safety, compliance, and efficiency of the site. This includes leadership of warehouse and production operations, ensuring a high standard of welfare and support for sales teams, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory and company standards.
This role bridges the gap between sales promises and operational delivery—making sure the site can deliver what’s sold, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
- Lead all aspects of Health & Safety on site.
- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and company standards.
- Maintain audits, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Promote a proactive safety culture—not just box-ticking.
- Act as the responsible person during inspections and external audits.
Operations
- Take full ownership of day-to-day site operations across production and warehouse.
- Ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, waste reduction, and throughput.
- Align production planning with sales demand and forecasts.
- Remove bottlenecks that impact lead times or service levels.
- Oversee goods in, storage, inventory accuracy, and dispatch.
- Ensure efficient layout, flow, and stock control systems.
- Minimise stock discrepancies, damage, and delays.
- Improve picking, packing, and dispatch performance.
Quality & Customer Service
- Deliver consistent product quality and presentation.
- Ensure accuracy in stock handling and dispatch.
- Place customer needs at the centre of operations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop all team leaders.
- Set clear expectations and hold persons accountable.
- Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Address performance issues directly and constructively.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Take ownership of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive efficiency and operational excellence.
Administration & Compliance
- Complete required documentation (audits, inspections, checklists).
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as may be required by your line manager or the management team, consistent with the scope of the job

Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of health, safety and operational compliance
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing or similar environment
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning, and prioritising ability
- Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
- RCCA and Continuous Improvement skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Meets Company Competency Matrix requirements
- Strong leadership and people management capability
- Ability to manage workflows and resources to meet operational targets

Desirable
- Forklift truck licence
- Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Experience in warehouse or yard management systems
Pay: €60,000.00-€66,000.00 per year
