Job description:
- Implement a developmentally appropriate preschool and after school programmes for young children
- Ensuring a high standard of care and guidance to all children in your care under the designed programme
- Support, supervise and guide early year educators working within your team and work within the line management system.
- Prioritising the health, safety and welfare of all children in the service
- Developing individual educational plans, curriculum plans and observations to encourage child development and progression
- Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
- Communicating with parents and members of the community
- Inducting new staff members within the team
- Maintaining program administration
- Performing other related duties as required
There is an annual leave entitlement of currently 20 days + 1 company day paid. Fairyland operates 50 weeks of the year, closing for Christmas, a week in August and all bank holidays. Fairyland offer an excellent pension scheme.
FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Childcare (required)
