This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. Our cook will work closely with the team to achieve the highest standards of culinary cooking for our Residents.
Experience of Food Preparation:
-
Ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, Fire, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (H.A.C.C.P) and Infection Control are adhered to at all times in the catering area.

Support and assist the team to document all associated records with ordering, receiving and maintaining of foods in accordance with safe practices and legislation.

Assist and support the team in preparing and cooking excellent quality and wholesome meals and home baking.

Ensure safe storage of foods in accordance with legislative standards.

Assist and support the management team during internal and external audits/inspections.
-
Be committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humour and a positive outlook on life.

Must be available to work various days and weekend shifts when required.

Complete Knowledge of food allergens.
-
Compliance with the EHO regulation.
-
Managing the food budget and costs.
-
Awareness and experience in regard to HIQA requirements.

Awareness of H&S Risks.
Qualifications Required:
-
Minimum two years' experience (Preferably Nursing home setting).

QQI Level 6 Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts or similar preferred.

Current and valid Food Handling, HACCP, Manual Handling.
