About the Role
The successful candidate will work as an Early Years Educator, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing through nurturing relationships and engaging play experiences. This role offers the opportunity to help shape a new, child-centred environment that promotes inclusion, creativity and excellence in early childhood education.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or recognised equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the Early Years Regulations.
- Strong understanding of Tusla requirements and compliance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Children First Training completed.
- Garda Vetting (or willingness to undergo Garda Vetting).
- Motivated to work on own initiative
- Proficient knowledge in child development theories and practices
- Full knowledge and awareness of relevant and current childcare legislation
- Capacity to implement childcare practice in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- A genuine interest in working directly with young children and in partnership with parents, carers and families.
- A commitment to working with parents and children in a way that supports positive child development, child-parent relationship and overall child and family well-being.
- To attend all meetings and training as required e.g. staff meetings, team development.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ECCE programmes.
- Create a warm, safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children's learning, wellbeing and development.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with staff to provide a holistic service for children and families.
Offers of employment will be based on successful completion of Garda Vetting and Reference checks. Applicants must currently reside in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland.
