Job Title: Operations Coordinator - Solar & Renewables

About the Role
A well-established solar and renewables installer is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to take ownership of day-to-day delivery across a busy and growing installation function.
This is a hands-on, central role within the business, suited to someone who understands how solar, renewables and trade-based installation work is delivered. You will help manage scheduling, materials, team coordination and the smooth delivery of ongoing installation, repair and servicing work.
The role comes at an important stage of growth, as the business manages strong customer demand and improves operational processes across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day installation activity across solar PV and related renewables projects
- Manage staff scheduling across installation teams
- Place orders and coordinate materials and supplies for ongoing works
- Oversee a high volume of weekly solar PV installations
- Coordinate additional installation work, including hot water systems where required
- Support repairs, servicing and follow-up works
- Work closely with senior operational staff during a structured handover period
- Help improve operational processes as the business continues to scale
- Liaise with installation teams, suppliers and management to keep work moving efficiently
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of additional technical team members where required
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar or renewables installation work and be comfortable coordinating multiple teams, sites and priorities at once.
You do not need to come directly from an electrical or plumbing trade background, but you should understand how trade-based installation work is planned, delivered and managed.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in solar, renewables or a closely related installation sector
- Strong understanding of solar PV installation delivery
- Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical installation processes
- Experience coordinating scheduling, ordering or multi-site installation work
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to work closely with trades teams, suppliers and management
- Hands-on, practical approach to problem solving
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience supervising or managing installation or trades teams
- Experience supporting operational change, process improvement or business growth
- Familiarity with service, repair or maintenance scheduling
- Experience within a domestic or commercial installation environment
