The Role
As a Senior QA/QC Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the West Apron Vehicle Underpass project by promoting the highest standards of quality assurance, quality control and compliance throughout all phases of construction.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Leading project quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Managing inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality records and project documentation.
- Conducting site inspections, audits and quality reviews.
- Managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Monitoring compliance with project specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.
- Supporting project teams in delivering works in accordance with quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
- Liaising with project stakeholders, subcontractors and client representatives on quality-related matters.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and engineering excellence.
About You
We are interested in hearing from professionals who possess:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience as a Senior QA/QC Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager or Civil Engineer with significant quality management responsibilities.
- Proven experience delivering quality functions on civil engineering, infrastructure or heavy construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, quality control processes, audits and inspection procedures.
- Experience managing ITPs, NCRs, quality documentation and project compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
- Experience with a main contractor or civil engineering subcontractor.
- A full, clean Irish driving licence.
- Experience in aviation infrastructure, roads, bridges, structures, reinforced concrete, drainage, utilities or heavy civils is highly desirable.
