Nazareth House Mallow provides 120 single en-suite bedrooms located across ground and first floor. Our facilities include a chapel, a hairdressing salon, a shop, social club, breakout seating areas and more.
The nursing home is located near the village of Dromahane and 5kms from the town of Mallow.

Purpose of job:
To undertake general services throughout the Home on a daily basis and ensuring that all requirements are met within each Unit.
Main responsibilities:
- Collect bags of soiled linen from Units within the Home twice daily and deliver to Main laundry

Collect all domestic waste, recycling waste, and deliver to appropriate areas for disposal

Keep all areas outside the main kitchen free of waste

Ensure van for transfer of domestic and other waste is well maintained by washing and disinfecting as required

Grounds within Nazareth House to be kept clean, tidy and free from obstructions

Where and when required, assist with transfer of heavy equipment, e.g. beds, furniture etc. within the Home

Distribute cleaning stores to Units every Friday.
General:

Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Attend Fire Drill and all any other appropriate training.

Attend relevant meetings as required.

Practice due economy in the use of resources.

Any other duties appropriate to your job, which from time to time, may be allocated by the Maintenance Manager or Superior/General Manager.

Project a professional, efficient and caring attitude in you dealings with management, staff and residents.

Report to your supervisor any Health and Safety issues you may encounter in the course of your duties.

To be observant with regards to persons inside the grounds of Nazareth House who appear to be acting suspiciously and report to management.
