Kitchen Support Staff (Capel Street)Role Summary
The Kitchen Support Staff plays a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience at White Rabbit Capel Street. This position involves supporting the cooking station, menu preparation, maintaining a high level of kitchen hygiene, and assisting customers in the fast-paced Korean food environment on Capel Street.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Preparation
- Prepare Fried Chicken & Cupbap menu items according to the customer's orders.
- Learn and prepare the necessary preparation activities for cooking Fried Chicken, Cupbap, Corndog menu items.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment used for food preparation and cooking.
Kitchen Support & Preparation Works
- Receive chicken deliveries and organize the refrigerator to ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) for fresh food stock.
- Assist the cook by learning and regularly performing preparation tasks for other menu items.
- Provide assistance to the cook for any tasks as requested.
Floor Operations
- Follow opening procedures and prepare the floor for service.
- Manage sauce inventory and notify the cook/manager of quantities.
- Monitor takeaway container stock and notify the manager of inventory levels.
Cleaning Works
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Regularly wash dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Complete cleaning duties for designated areas at closing.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain overall store cleanliness.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow HACCP hygiene and safety standards.
- Prevent cross‑contamination and adhere to allergen control procedures.
- Comply with regulations and internal operating guidelines.
Other Duties
- Thoroughly understand job responsibilities and train new staff members.
- Review weekly activities and discuss areas for improvement.
- Organize and maintain dry storage, freezer, and refrigerator areas in optimal condition.
- Receive and manage invoices related to food supplies.
- Prepare and serve food to ensure quality until delivery to the customer.
Preferred Features
- Proficient in English (A2 level or above) with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Flexible availability for weekdays and weekends shifts.
- Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service experience and knowledge of food safety/allergen procedures preferred.
