ABC Nutrition Ltd are seeking a Product Development Scientist in the Sports nutrition , weight management and active health nutrition products. ABC Nutrition Ltd manufacture products for private label brands globally. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG sector and understand the current trends and developments in this market.
The Role:
Develop new recipes in the NPD test kitchen and improve on existing recipes, while focusing on functional, sensory, and cost aspects of the finished product.
Provide technical expertise for new products in development, or improvement of existing products.
Liaise with other departments including production, quality, and sales to progress live projects.
Generate NPD specifications to GFSI & customer standards. Maintain the relevant NPD paperwork.
Nutritional analysis and calculations with Quality and Technical.
Present samples and presentations to customers.
Evaluation of potential new ingredients
Attend international trade shows
Requirements:
Experience and knowledge of NPD in a Food company
3rd level Food Science qualification or equivalent
Working knowledge of food legislation especially in relation to Health Claims
Excellent quality and technical expertise in quality and technical
Possess competent PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Attention to detail, good communicator, organised, diligent.
