Job Title: Head of Sales
Location: Belfast or Dublin (multi-site responsibility)
Reports to: Managing Director
Job Purpose:
To lead and coordinate the sales function of the business, with full responsibility for delivering sustainable growth, market share development and profitable sales performance across all territories. This role has been introduced to support increased business activity and ensure a structured, scalable sales operation that maximises customer engagement, sales effectiveness and commercial performance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a sales strategy that supports the growth objectives of the business, ensuring all sales activities are aligned with market opportunities, OEM requirements and long-term business goals.
Sales Performance & Profitability:
Take ownership of sales performance across all locations, driving machine sales, market share growth, margin management and commercial discipline to maximise profitability and sustainable revenue growth.
Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities across construction, quarrying, recycling, waste, infrastructure and rental sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and major accounts throughout Ireland.
Sales Management:
Lead, coach and support the sales team across all locations, ensuring clear objectives, accountability and consistent performance standards. Drive a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and results.
KPI Management & Reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators including order intake, sales pipeline, conversion rates, market share, gross profit and forecast accuracy. Provide clear and accurate reporting to support decision-making and performance improvement.
OEM & Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners and key customers, ensuring high levels of engagement, professionalism and representation of the Sleator Plant brand.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Work closely with Service, Parts, Finance and Operations to ensure alignment, improve customer experience and support overall business performance.
Market Intelligence & Growth:
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements, identifying opportunities to strengthen market position and support future growth initiatives.
