About The Role
We are looking for a driven and commercially astute Solar Sales Executive to join our growing commercial division. You will be responsible for generating new business and managing relationships with commercial and industrial clients including businesses, local authorities, and large property owners delivering bespoke solar PV and battery storage solutions that reduce energy costs and carbon footprints.
This is a high-earning role for someone with a genuine passion for renewable energy and the ability to navigate complex B2B sales cycles from initial prospecting through to contract close. Base salary is €45,000–€65,000 depending on experience, with an uncapped commission structure, your earnings are limited only by your results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and engage commercial clients including SMEs, large enterprises, public sector bodies, and property developers
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and attending industry events
- Conduct site surveys and energy audits to assess client requirements and solar PV potential
- Design and present compelling commercial proposals including ROI analysis, payback periods, and financing options
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to signed contract, coordinating with technical and project delivery teams
- Develop long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with company pricing structures and margin targets
- Accurately forecast sales activity and maintain CRM records
- Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, finance, and operations to ensure smooth project handover
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within solar, renewables, energy, or a related sector
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes with long deal cycles
- Strong financial acumen, comfortable presenting ROI models, lease vs. purchase comparisons, and energy savings calculations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite and facilities managers alike
- Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to manage your own diary and pipeline
- Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Desirable Qualifications
- 2 years experience in solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging infrastructure sales
- Knowledge of commercial energy procurement and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Familiarity with planning, grid connection, and DNO processes
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
