Links Childcare provides high-quality childcare services, including an after-school service for local primary schools in Blackrock. We're looking for a reliable and friendly driver to join our team, helping to safely transport children between school and our creche each day.
The Role
As our After School Service Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe collection and drop-off of children between local primary schools and our Blackrock creche, Monday to Friday. You'll be a familiar, friendly, and reassuring presence for the children and their parents.
Location: Blackrock
Hours: Monday–Friday, term-time (Hours 8am-9am and/or 1pm-3pm)
Job Type: Part-time
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive children between local primary schools and the creche, Monday–Friday
- Ensure all children are accounted for and safely secured for each journey
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff
- Follow all health and safety procedures and childcare best practices during transport
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff as needed
What We're Looking For
- A full, clean driving licence (essential)
- A competent and confident driver
- Experience caring for children in some capacity (e.g. childcare, family, sports coaching, youth work, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- A friendly, patient, and caring manner with children
- Willingness to complete Garda vetting (or equivalent)
A childcare qualification is not required for this role — what matters most is experience with children and being a safe, reliable driver.
