Concrete Footpath Finisher / Groundworker
Location: Mullingar
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Footpath Finisher / Groundworker to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, setting out, and finishing concrete footpaths, kerbs, and other external concrete works to a high standard. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with groundworks, formwork, and concrete finishing, can read construction drawings, and is committed to delivering quality workmanship while maintaining safe working practices on site.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience finishing concrete footpaths, kerbs, and external concrete works.
- Ability to set up and install timber and steel shuttering/formwork to the required line and level.
- Experience preparing paths for concrete, including excavation, stone placement, compaction, and setting falls.
- Competent in reading drawings and setting out to specification.
- High standard of concrete finishing, including floating, edging, brushing, and achieving a quality finish.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
- Full, clean driving licence preferred.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates required (CSR/CSCS equivalent if applicable).
- Machine tickets (mini excavator, dumper, roller) desirable but not essential
