Background:
The Teagasc Moorepark Campus is a leading international research and innovation centre for the Irish agri-food sector, located in Fermoy, Co. Cork. The campus is home to world-class dairy, food, animal and grassland research facilities, supporting innovation, sustainability and technology transfer across the agriculture and food industries. Moorepark hosts a diverse campus community including researchers, technical staff, students, industry partners and visitors.
The Teagasc Moorepark Campus operates a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles and machines that support research and operational activities. Effective coordination is required to ensure all assets are safe, compliant, properly maintained and available when needed. The Fleet Coordinator conducts mechanical maintenance and oversees compliance and record management to support the safe and efficient operation of the Moorepark fleet.
Basic Function:
We are seeking to recruit a Campus Fleet Coordinator to maintain, coordinate, and oversee the operations of the Moorepark Transport Fleet, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and reliable transport services for the Moorepark Campus community.

- A Level 6 qualification (as recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent), in Motor Mechanics or related discipline.
- A valid full driver’s license is essential.
- A Level 7 qualification in Administration, Business or Finance related discipline would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong track record of practical application of mechanical skills.
- People and resource management skills.
- Excellent data handing and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Experience with agricultural machinery.
- Knowledge of Irish transport legislation and road safety compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance schedules and safety requirements for fleet vehicles.
- A knowledge of Electric Vehicle maintenance would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team including consulting, collaborating and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Has the ability to problem solve and demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.

- As this role will involve driving Teagasc fleet vehicles, candidates must hold a valid full clean Irish, EU/ EEA or International driving licence (permit) applicable for the fleet vehicle(s) required for the role. Candidates must comply with the driving licensing requirements of the Irish State, satisfy and continue to satisfy during employment with Teagasc, legal requirements to drive on the fleet unaccompanied.
