Ed Horan Architects is a growing, design-led architectural practice based in Co. Laois, working across residential, commercial and planning projects throughout the Midlands and surrounding counties.
We are seeking an Architectural Technologist to join the studio and contribute across a broad range of projects from early-stage design through to planning, technical detailing and on-site coordination.
This role would suit a motivated and detail-focused individual who is interested in working within a small collaborative practice environment with direct involvement in live projects and client interaction.
The successful candidate will work closely with the practice director across all project stages including:
- Measured surveys and existing building documentation
- Planning application drawings and submissions
- Technical detailing and construction drawing packages
- Coordination with consultants and contractors
- Preparation of presentation material and client information
- Site visits and project administration
The practice has a strong interest in design quality, clear communication and the integration of evolving digital workflows and technologies within architectural practice.
Job Requirements
- Qualification in Architectural Technology or related discipline
- Strong technical and construction knowledge
- Proficiency in Autocad essential
- Experience with Archicad, SketchUp, Adobe Suite and Lumion advantageous
- Good understanding of Irish Building Regulations and planning processes
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driver’s licence preferred
- Minimum 2 years professional experience preferred
