Water Network Technicians and Operators
Candidates (x 4) location to suit support mainly of the Leinster region [ Dublin, Louth, Cavan, Meath, west Meath, Kildare, Wicklow and others if necessary].
Ideally candidates will live in the greater Dublin Region or near the Dublin to Dundalk M1 corridor.
We are seeking technicians and operators to work with our service team. Delivering site works and site preparation works. This is a full-time permanent position (on completion of probationary period).
THIS ROLE IS NOT (AND NEVER WILL BE) SUITABLE FOR REMOTE WORKING.
Skills / Qualifications required:
- Ideally experienced and talented with works in areas such as such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering ,Plumbing/Fitting, or similar.
- Must be good working with your hands and fixing problems.
- Full clean Irish B driving license, for a Manual Gear box vehicle, or another EU country equivalent.
- Must have a safe place at home to park a van at night.
- DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT APPROVED TO WORK FULL TIME IN IRELAND.
- Ideally physically fit, as the work is physical in nature
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Should be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Chrome browser)
- Should be good working with tools (plumbing and building experience would be an advantage)
- Must be able to work well with others, and also on your own initiative
Job description summary:
- Participating in any training required and taking work instructions.
- Working to Heath, Safety and welfare standards and procedures.
- Travel to work sites will be required, mainly in South West area but could be countrywide.
- Overnight stays may be required from time to time .
- Driving to work sites (either you will accompany a technician who will pick up and drop you, or you will be issued a company vehicle to facilitate getting to site(s), depending on operational needs).
- Flexible working hours will be required due to the nature of the works.
- Working on mechanical fittings, pressure control valves, working on street furniture and road products installations. (training will be provided)
- Helping with recording of GPRS co-ordinates & photos, completion of forms and reports
- If ability of worker allows the installation and commissioning of some instrumentation products may be added to the works schedule.
- Working with Heights and confined spaces (training provided)
- This list is not exhaustive, and the works will change somewhat in line with the abilities for the individual worker.
- These are starting positions with scope to progress if the candidate proves their abilities.
Remuneration:
These are salaried positions. The salary will be dependent on ability and experience.
