Position: Accommodation Assistant Manager

Reports to: Executive Accommodation Manager
The Accommodation Supervisor supports the delivery of a consistently elevated guest experience by overseeing room presentation, public area standards, and day-to-day housekeeping operations. This role plays a key part in driving quality, ensuring accuracy in room release procedures, and guiding the team toward operational consistency. By maintaining strong oversight of cleanliness, resources, and performance, the Accommodation Supervisor contributes to a well-managed environment that reflects the estate’s commitment to excellence, care, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- To maintain the cleanliness standards set by the hotel and Leading Hotels of The World.
- To ensure you and the team members handle and use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with health and safety guidelines.
- To communicate hotel services to guests when requested.
- To ensure that all the rooms, outdoor facilities and public areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards required by the property.
- Support the team in preparing and servicing guest rooms and public areas in line with established SOPs.
- Conduct room inspections using the defined quality checklist before rooms are released for sale.
- Maintain accountability for cleanliness, presentation, and overall condition across assigned areas.
- Execute daily task sheets, manage section pantries, and oversee accurate inventory use.
- Report defects or maintenance concerns promptly through designated internal platforms. Ensure rooms are not sold to a guest.
- Complete assigned credits daily, adjusting as occupancy and business needs require.
- Ensure accurate start and finish times of team members are captured and validated for productivity alignment.
- To observe all rules and procedures as set by the company.
- To ensure that all equipment and materials are not left in a hazardous state.
- To turn over any lost and found property and log it correctly.
- To attend any meetings and training sessions required by Management.
- Support the Executive Accommodation manager with cost control by maintaining par levels for chemicals, OS&E, guest amenities, and linen.
- Lead by example, supporting training initiatives and reinforcing grooming and service standards.
- Guide team members in stocking trolleys, preparing work areas, and following daily operational requirements.
- Remain flexible in supporting all housekeeping roles and areas in the hotel are in line with business demands.
- Contribute to team development by supporting coaching, feedback, and skill-building on the floor.
- Uphold safety procedures, ensuring correct use of chemicals and protective equipment.
- Maintain immaculate standards across rooms, floors, public areas, and estate surroundings.
- Champion consistency through adherence to shift checklists and SOP-driven processes.
- Support sustainability objectives by ensuring proper waste segregation and linen-discard tracking.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver service in alignment with brand standards.
- Manage inventories, requisitions, and departmental supplies with a focus on cost control and sustainability.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of materials and equipment.
- Maintain cleaning logs and inspection reports in line with health & safety requirements.
- Champion compliance in all safety and quality standards.
- Work in collaboration with the Accommodation Manager to review daily schedules, guest requirements, and performance data.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and service delivery.
- Work with the Accommodation Manager in maintaining budgets, cost efficiency while maintaining high standards.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 year of hospitality experience, in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury environment.
- Strong knowledge of accommodation standards, best practices, health and safety regulation, strong organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead by example in a guest-focused, standards-driven environment.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
This Job Description will be review and updated on an annual basis with The Executive Accommodation Manager / Rooms Division Manager when required.
