Woodale Designs is looking for a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team.
The role involves delivering high-end bespoke kitchens and joinery from our Carlow workshop to residential and construction sites. This is a hands-on position and involves significant manual handling, careful loading and unloading, and placing joinery correctly on site in accordance with drawings and room layouts.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive a box body delivery truck to sites throughout Ireland.
- Deliver bespoke kitchens, cabinetry and joinery safely and carefully.
- Assist the production team with loading and organising the truck prior to delivery.
- Check delivery information and drawings before leaving the workshop.
- Unload and distribute joinery to the correct rooms and locations on site in accordance with the project drawings.
- Ensure finished cabinetry, painted furniture and joinery are handled carefully and protected from damage.
- Carry out heavy lifting and manual handling as part of the role.
- Secure loads correctly and ensure safe transportation of all products.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional delivery vehicle.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly with the Woodale project and production teams while on site.
Requirements
- Full Irish driving licence.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Physically capable of regular heavy lifting.
- Good understanding of manual handling and workplace safety.
- Ability to read basic drawings and room layouts.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Careful and respectful when handling high-value finished joinery.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Professional manner when working in clients’ homes and on construction sites.
Previous experience delivering furniture, kitchens, joinery or similar high-value products would be an advantage.
This is not simply a driving position. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our joinery arrives safely, is correctly distributed throughout the property and is ready for our installation teams.
