About the Role
We are seeking an Internal Sales Executive to manage customer enquiries, generate quotes, and process orders. You will act as a central link between our clients and our warehouse, cutting, and logistics teams to ensure fast, accurate, and technically precise service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming phone and email enquiries regarding stock, pricing, and lead times.
- Prepare, issue, and proactively follow up on quotations to convert them into sales.
- Process orders accurately and coordinate cutting and delivery schedules with the warehouse.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts to increase order value.
- Support the wider sales team in identifying and onboarding new customer accounts.
- Keep clients updated on order statuses and resolve any supply or delivery queries.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in B2B internal sales, customer service, or order processing (industrial or steel distribution experience is a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills for handling pricing, weights, and dimensions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience using order processing or stock management software.
- A driven, organised team player eager to learn technical product knowledge on the job.
- Knowledge of steel grades, sections, or cutting processes is an advantage but not essential.
