Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Auto Locksmith to join our team, who will provide high-quality mobile and on-site services to customers who need help with vehicle locks, keys, and security systems. This is a customer-facing role that combines technical expertise with excellent service — perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving on the go and helping people in urgent situations. The successful candidate will be required to work Wednesday to Sunday.
Typical duties include:
- Respond to emergency vehicle lockouts (cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles) quickly and professionally
- Cut, program, and duplicate car keys.
- Re-key, repair, and replace automotive locks, ignitions, door locks, trunk locks, and handles
- Diagnose and repair issues with key fobs, immobilizers, and electronic locking systems
- Program and clone vehicle keys and remotes using diagnostic tools and key programming equipment
- Install aftermarket security systems, steering locks, or upgraded locks when requested
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts used, and customer interactions
- Keep your mobile workshop van / tools clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Deliver friendly, trustworthy customer service — you are often the first point of contact in stressful situations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Auto Locksmith or Automotive Locksmith (at least 2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle locking systems, transponder technology, and key programming
- Familiarity with common tools and equipment.
- Clean full driving license and confident, safe driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively on mobile calls
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to handle emergency call-outs (including evenings/weekends on rotation)
- Good communication skills and a calm, professional manner with customers
