- Specified Purpose Wholetime
(i) Registration as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of
Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Public Health Medicine.
And
(ii) One year documented postgraduate evidence of training and/or
satisfactory experience in the specific domain(s) of Public Health practice. Successful candidates for this role will be expected to have demonstrable experience and ability to:
- Use Significant leadership skills particularly with regards to the management and implementation of public health programmes as relevant to the role, ideally in the area of Health Intelligence;
- Working effectively with multiple stakeholders nationally and internationally to implement best practice in Public Health programmes, ideally in the area of Health Intelligence;
- Developing and implementing Public Health Policies, Programmes and Strategic Plans to deliver improvements in key public health indicators, ideally in the area of Health Intelligence.
- Understanding of the use of advanced analytics, predictive modelling and software development as relevant to the role, and ideally in the area of Health Intelligence
