Bar Tender Job Description
Detailed below are the key activities you are required to carry out during your shift. This list is not limited and may be added to and updated as the business needs arise.
● Provide a pleasant drinking experience to customers.
● Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
● Attend to the detail and presentation of each order.
● Prepare and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
● Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all beverage items.
● Coordinate daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.
● Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with supervisor.
● Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor.
● Complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.
● Assist with orienting new employees to their work area.
● Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints.
● Instruct personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.
● Participate in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
● Complete end of day cash up , Z-reads and place cash in the safe.
● When needed, great guests and take orders.
Pay: From €15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Skerries, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Bartending: 2 years (preferred)
Language:
- Must have excellent English (preferred)
