Maternity Cover · Fixed-Term / Interim · Remote (Ireland-based) · c.30 hours/week
About Good Culture
Good Culture is a truly international ingredients business, championing the ancient wonder of fermentation — reimagined for modern lives and wellness. We source with integrity, craft with intention and innovate with respect for both tradition and the needs of today's customer. We manage inventory across multiple warehouse locations in the UK, EU and USA, working closely with our North American manufacturing partner to serve customers across Europe and the Americas through a complex international supply chain. We're forecasting significant growth over the next 12–24 months — and this role sits right at the heart of it.
The Role
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive Operations & Supply Chain Manager to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term basis until end of August 2027. You'll own two interconnected areas of the business:
· Leading and developing our Operations and Supply Chain team — including direct line management of our Customer Success Executive, who manages all customer orders and deliveries.
· Ensuring the highest levels of customer service — taking ownership of inventory planning, supplier management, international logistics and operational performance.
This is an autonomous, remote role for someone based in Ireland. A small amount of travel will be required — including during the initial handover period and for team events. Whilst the role is initially fixed-term, we are a growing business and exceptional candidates may find opportunities to continue with us beyond the contract.
What Success Looks Like
· Customers receive products on time and in full.
· Inventory is available where and when needed, with disciplined working capital management.
· Stock-outs are avoided through proactive planning.
· Supply chain risks are identified and managed early.
· Strong relationships are maintained with suppliers and partners.
· Operational processes continue to improve as the business grows.
· The Operations function is stronger at the end of the contract than at the beginning.
What You'll Be Doing
Team Leadership
· Line manage and support our Customer Success Executive (responsible for all customer orders and deliveries), providing coaching, guidance and escalation support.
· Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
· Ensure customers continue to receive exceptional service levels.
Supply Chain Leadership
· Lead the day-to-day operation of Good Culture's global supply chain.
· Balance service levels, inventory investment and working capital requirements.
· Identify and proactively manage operational and supply chain risks.
· Develop and improve operational processes to support continued growth.
Inventory Planning & Forecasting
· Manage inventory across warehouse locations in the UK, EU and USA.
· Develop replenishment plans based on sales forecasts and demand trends.
· Coordinate stock purchases from our manufacturing partner.
· Lead inventory reviews, reconciliations and stock management activities.
Supplier & Partner Management
· Lead the day-to-day relationship with our manufacturing partner.
· Build strong relationships with warehouse providers, freight partners and customs brokers.
· Manage operational performance and issue resolution across the supply chain.
International Logistics
· Oversee imports from Canada into the UK, EU and USA.
· Coordinate freight movements between warehouses, production partners and customers.
· Ensure customs documentation and logistics activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
· Drive continuous improvement in logistics performance and cost efficiency.
Operational Excellence
· Own key operational KPIs and performance reporting.
· Improve systems, processes and operational controls.
· Support the ongoing development of SOPs and operational documentation.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
· 5+ years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Logistics management.
· Background in FMCG, food & beverage, ingredients or manufacturing.
· Strong inventory planning and forecasting experience.
· Experience managing international logistics and imports.
· Experience managing external suppliers and operational partners.
· Strong commercial awareness and confident decision-making.
· Excellent organisational skills and unparalleled attention to detail.
· Able to operate autonomously in a fully remote environment.
· Strong people management capability — comfortable leading, coaching and holding a team accountable.
Desirable (nice to have, not a dealbreaker):
· Experience managing third-party warehouses.
· Experience using Unleashed or a similar ERP/inventory system.
· Experience with North American and European supply chains.
· Experience in a growing SME environment.
· A genuine passion for sustainability, health and continuous improvement.
