The Role:We are currently seeking a confident and reliable Motor Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified technician with proven hands-on expertise who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electronic and mechanical diagnostics, diagnose faults efficiently and accurately using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out servicing, routine maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles to a high standard e.g. oil changes, brake checks, tyre fitting etc.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components e.g. exhaust systems, timing belts, starters, alternators etc.
- Use initiative to identify and resolve vehicle issues effectively.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team to ensure timely job completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Ensure all work is documented, including parts used, time taken and any follow-up requirements.
Candidate requirements:
- Fully qualified Motor Technician with minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience as a mechanic
- Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., FETAC, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Full category B drivers licence
- Valid EU work permit
Skills required:
- Proven experience with diagnostics, repair and maintenance of a range of vehicles.
- Familiarity with vehicle inspection standards and DOE/NCT testing procedures.
- Confident and reliable with strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electronics, diagnostics, and servicing.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer-based fault finding systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative and maintain high standards of work.
- Good communication skills for liaising with supervisors, suppliers and customers.
- Previous experience working with Ford, Volkswagen, or Peugeot vehicles is desirable but not essential.
Pay: €55,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
