Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Foreman for an immediate start on a residential development in Cavan town. You will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of the project, managing subcontractors, ensuring high-quality finishes, and driving the project to successful handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate internal trades and subcontractors (painters, joiners, tilers, etc.).
- Oversee the snagging process and ensure all defects are rectified swiftly.
- Maintain strict quality control and ensure work meets building regulations and company standards.
- Enforce site health and safety regulations.
- Attend weekly progress meetings and report directly to the Site Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Finishing Foreman or Working Foreman on residential or commercial projects.
- Trade background (e.g., Carpentry/Joinery) is highly advantageous.
- Valid Safe Pass and Covid-19 Induction (CIF).
- Valid CSCS card (where applicable).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
- Strong eye for detail and a zero-tolerance approach to poor workmanship.
