About the Role
Coatek is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with our valued customers.
You will take full ownership of key customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact throughout the customer journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships, understanding customer requirements, resolving issues and identifying opportunities to grow each account.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded account management professional who is organised, proactive and committed to delivering an excellent customer experience. This role will mainly be on the road meeting with clients, but attendance in our Arklow, Co. Wicklow office will be included once per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, requests and account-related issues.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each customer’s needs, priorities and business objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered accurately and on time.
- Monitor account activity and maintain accurate customer records.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, additional services and repeat business.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Support customer retention by delivering a consistently high standard of service.
- Attend customer meetings and conduct regular account reviews.
- Work towards agreed customer satisfaction, retention and revenue targets.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in account management, customer relationship management or a similar customer-facing role.
- A proven ability to manage multiple customer accounts effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to identify growth opportunities.
- A professional, organised and proactive approach.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Confidence using customer relationship management systems and standard office software.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Experience in the signage, print, fit-out, and construction industries an advantage
