We're looking for an enthusiastic After School Teacher to join our close-knit team and help create meaningful experiences for children aged 5–12 years.
This position is available from the end of August 2026, making it an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a fresh start for the new academic year.
Please note: This position is open only to candidates who are currently based and settled in Ireland. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider overseas applications.
About the Role
This role is all about creating a fun, engaging, and child-centred programme where children feel safe, supported, and excited to spend their afternoons.
Whether your interests are sport, art, music, drama, STEM, cooking, nature, or something completely different, we would love to see your passions reflected in the experiences you create for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-manage and deliver a fun, engaging, and inclusive After School programme.
- Support children's learning, wellbeing, confidence, and social development.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, supporting children with homework, friendships, and daily challenges.
- Plan and facilitate creative activities, games, projects, and outdoor experiences.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain relevant records and follow company policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and team culture.

- Have experience working with primary school-aged children.
- Are energetic, creative, and enthusiastic.
- Have excellent spoken and written English.
- Build warm and positive relationships with children and families.
- Enjoy planning activities and creating memorable experiences for children.
- Are organised, reliable, and a great team player.
Desirable
- Qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education, School Age Childcare, Teaching, Youth Work, or a related field.
- First Aid and Child Protection training.
- Skills, hobbies, or interests that could enhance our programme.
Role Information
Hours: Approximately 1:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday during the school year. There is opportunities for additional hours during holiday camps.
School Calendar: Open 47 weeks per year, with paid closure periods including:
- Two weeks at Christmas
- One week at Easter
- Two weeks in August
Salary: Competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
