Gowan Auto, importers and distributors of multiple motor brands in Ireland, are seeking to recruit a Product Assistant to support the Citroën team. Reporting to the Citroën Product Manager, the Product Assistant will have the opportunity to work in key areas of the department and gain experience across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Product Manager in managing a portfolio of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles from pre-launch to launch to ongoing lifecycle management with a special focus on the Citroën range of Battery Electric, Plug-In Hybrid and Hybrid passenger & commercial vehicles.
- Assist in the preparation of dealer communications and detailed information for new product or equipment changes for circulation internally as well as externally for the Citroën dealer network.
- Continuous update and development of relevant customer and dealer-facing product materials such as standard equipment, options and technical specifications data.
- Support in the development and delivery of Citroën product training through in-person events as well as via an online training platform. Including responsibility for tracking user performance through regular contact with the Citroën dealer network.
- Liaise with 3rd party partners to ensure the latest Citroën product information is provided accurately and on a timely basis.
- Monthly analysis of the Irish car market to identify trends, track competitor model changes & competitive tactical activity in the market.
- Monthly analysis of Citroën performance and market position for passenger & LCV models.
- Competitor analysis for the Citroën model range, including the production of Competitor Guides for the dealer network on a timely basis.
- Maintain up-to-date records of the regulatory environment as is relevant to the motor industry, such as approval standards, motor tax & VRT bands, government grants & incentive programmes for LEVs.
- Handle dealer and customer queries, as well as work cross-functionally with the aftersales, distribution and marketing teams as product-related requests arise.
Key Attributes:
- Attention to detail critical, with keen numerical and analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, is essential.
- Excellent communication, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Previous experience with the JATO Dynamics database is preferable.
- Motor industry experience a distinct advantage and/or relevant 3rd-level degree.
- Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team where required.
- Full, clean driver's licence preferable but not essential.
