Position: Fitter Mate with IPAF Certification
Location: Ballydine, County Tipperary
BSS is looking for Fitter Mates with an IPAF Certification for an upcoming indoor project in Ballydine, County Tipperary.
Key responsibilities
As a Fitter Mate your responsibilities will include:
- Provide assistance to pipefitters while operating MEWPs (scissor lifts, cherry pickers, boom lifts, etc.)
- Working alongside pipefitters with the installation, assembly, and alignment of industrial pipework systems
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and preparing pipes and supports
- Transporting and organising materials, tools, and mechanical equipment on site
- Supporting pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning activities
- Maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with site housekeeping standards
- Following all health & safety procedures, permit systems, and risk assessments
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, tradespeople, and site management
Requirements:
- Valid Safe Pass
- Valid Manual Handling
- Must have valid IPAF Certification
- Proven experience in a similar role
