About the Role
We are seeking a qualified accountant / practice accountant to join a busy and well-established practice, working with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
The role offers a varied mix of accounts, tax and audit work, depending on the successful candidate's experience and interests. While the position includes general practice work, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates with tax experience, audit experience or a relevant tax qualification.
This is a hands-on role where you will manage your own client portfolio, deal directly with clients, and take ownership of assignments from start to finish.
This role is best suited to candidates with hands-on experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of annual accounts
- Preparation of management accounts
- Corporation tax, income tax and VAT returns
- Managing your own client portfolio and meeting deadlines
- Acting as a direct point of contact for clients and handling queries
- Assisting with audit assignments where applicable
- Supporting clients with tax compliance and advisory matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff where required
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent) qualified
- Relevant experience in an Irish accountancy practice
- Strong accounts preparation experience
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Tax experience, audit experience or a relevant tax qualification would be an advantage but is not essential

Pay: €50,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
