As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Mortgage Advisor to join our team.
About the Role
As a Senior Mortgage Advisor, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mortgage advice to clients throughout their mortgage journey.
You will work with a broad range of clients, including first-time buyers, home movers, mortgage switchers and clients with more complex financial circumstances.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the Irish mortgage market, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results in a target-driven environment.
You will be responsible for managing clients from initial enquiry and financial assessment through to mortgage approval and completion, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, compliance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to understand clients' circumstances, objectives and mortgage requirements.
- Provide clear, professional and compliant mortgage advice tailored to each client's individual needs.
- Assess clients' income, expenditure, financial commitments and overall circumstances to identify suitable mortgage solutions.
- Advise clients on mortgage products, interest rates, terms and available options in a clear and understandable manner.
- Manage the full mortgage application process from initial consultation through to approval and completion.
- Prepare and submit high-quality mortgage applications to suitable lenders.
- Liaise with lenders, solicitors, estate agents and other relevant stakeholders throughout the mortgage process.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of mortgage applications and ensure cases progress efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the company's CRM system.
- Ensure all client files and applications meet regulatory, compliance and internal requirements.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and provide an exceptional level of service.
- Identify opportunities for new business through client referrals, existing relationships and self-generated business.
- Work towards agreed individual and company targets while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes.
- Keep up to date with changes to mortgage regulations, lender criteria, products, rates and developments within the Irish mortgage market.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver the best possible client experience.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Minimum 2*/3 years experience in a client-facing mortgage advisory, mortgage broking or banking role*.
- QFA qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of the Irish residential mortgage market.
- Excellent understanding of lender mortgage criteria, products and processes.
- Strong understanding of the Irish regulatory and compliance environment.
- Proven track record of successfully converting mortgage applications through to completion.
- Experience working in a target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes.
Desirable:
- Experience using mortgage and financial services systems such as Online Application and Money Advice would be an advantage.
- Experience working with CRM and digital mortgage application platforms.
