Safe Cert are part of the Safety Solutions Group. The Group is based in Blanchardstown, Dublin, with employees working from all parts of the Country.
Serving our many, well-established customers, Safe Cert specialises in the testing, inspection and certification of various plant and equipment in addition to lifting and work at height accessories such as chains, slings and safety harnesses.
Position Overview: As a Safe Cert Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and certification of various plant, equipment and accessories in the Dublin region. This will include the completion of the relevant inspection documentation on your hand-held tablet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travelling to Safe Cert client sites allocated to you and carrying out inspections in line with training, legislation and best practice.
- Communicating effectively with clients upon arrival to their premises/sites to ensure that inspections are completed efficiently.
- Attaching test inspection tags/labels to all inspected plant, machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring that completed inspections are documented on your hand-held tablet and uploaded to the software database.
- Reporting to the Safe Cert Department Lead and Lead Engineer on a daily basis to ensure that any issues arising are attended to effectively.
Requirements:
- Experience in working with mobile plant and equipment either as an operator or mechanic (or both).
- Previous experience of inspections of plant and equipment would be a distinct advantage but not required as training will be provided to the preferred candidate.
- Good customer communication skills, this is essential as you will be dealing with Safe Cert clients on a daily basis.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in completion of the completed inspection reports, (note a template is provided and does not typically require advanced IT skills)
- Ability to work under pressure and be able to work with your team lead in prioritising work demands.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, team player, self-starter, and proactive.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical repair role with plant and equipment or in the operation of plant and equipment.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Full category B Driving Licence
