We are a well-established company with work across all sectors of the electrical industry, both domestically and internationally. We are undergoing a period of growth and are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer who will be given the opportunity to establish practices and be part of developing an engineering department within our group, primarily serving the needs of our national and international electrical installation businesses.
Here in Ireland, we work across all sectors, and across a large range of contract sizes. The candidate will be involved in the implementation of large-scale commercial contracts and industrial projects. We also undertake a significant amount of installation inspections/fixed wire testing and will require the candidate to compile installation reports and work alongside our testing technicians to make recommendations to the customer and fully record and report any issues found.
Internationally we work across several sectors. At present, much of our work is in the food and beverage container production and handling industry. Duties here would include assistance at the design stage of an installation and oversight on the installation of these works.
MAIN DUTIES:
- All typical responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer: from the tender stage through design and on to overseeing completion alongside the Project Managers and Supervisors
- Assistance with implementation of large-scale commercial contracts and industrial projects in Ireland & Abroad
- Assistance with Installation Inspections/Fixed Wire Testing & Surveys
- Compile reports and work alongside our testing technicians to make recommendations to the customer and fully record and report any issues found
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements
- Internationally: assistance at the design stage of installation and oversight on the installation of these works
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Experience with electrical design software and engineering tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Working knowledge of Irish Regulations ET:10101
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with industry standards
- Full Clean Drivers Licence
- Willing to travel to project locations aborad from time to time
Desirable:
- Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent accreditation.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, construction, utilities, or building services environments.
- Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, automation, instrumentation, or renewable energy systems.
- AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical experience
