Job Description – Dental Receptionist
Dental Care Ireland have an excellent opportunity for a Dental Receptionist to join our modern Sligo practice (previous Pearse Dental). This is a part-time role, two days per week Wednesday and Friday 8.15am to 5.15pm.
- 1+ or 2+ years' Dental Receptionist experience preferred

Reporting to: Practice Manager
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Tasks and responsibilities
- Greeting and registering patients on a day to day basis at the reception desk.
- Providing information and reassurance to patients about their treatment.
- Phone and email management throughout the day.
- Daily cashing up exercise for the practice.
- Appointment book management to ensure maximisation of working hours.
- Providing support to clinicians by sending prescriptions, referral letters, x-rays.
- Payor claim administration for GMS/PRSI/VHI/DeCare.
- Claims and ensuring accuracy of claim forms.
- Payment reconciliation.
- Running daily, weekly and monthly reports from Exact.
- Completion of various spreadsheets for accounts purposes (i.e. cash sheet, trackers etc).
- Key holder duties.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years' experience.
- Authorised to work in Ireland.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
- Must have working knowledge in use of Microsoft Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and mail.
